"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind".
2Timothy 1:7 KJV
I studied oil painting under Randal Sexton and Brian Blood at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California in the early 2000's. I gravitated to their style of painting which is called California plein air. However, I did not choose the path of oil painter back then. I graduated with a BFA degree in computer animation and had a successful 10 year career in the computer games industry working on the Diner Dash series of games among others.
My wife and I longed to leave the congestion and rat race of the bay area so in 2013 we started heading north. Our first stop was a little known place in the high desert of Northern California called Alturas. It was there that I began painting full time and had my first solo exhibit called Painting the Modoc Landscape at the Alturas Art Center.
At the end of 2014 we were bound for Kalispell, Montana. Life in Montana was filled with adventure! My artistic journey in Montana was highlihgted by my two man show at the Hockaday Museum of Art with B. Rex Stewart called Small Town Charm to Countryside Splendor. The Montana landscape provided endless artistic inspiration and had a profound affect on my creative process.
The next chapter has unfolded in Boise Idaho, now with three beautiful children. I continue to paint, display, and sell my artwork. I am truly blessed!
